The new Integra Series DMM/Data Acquisition System Model 2700 bridges the gap between the Instrumentation and Data Acquisition worlds. It looks and operates as a DMM but also works as a Data Acquisition system or a Datalogger for any IEEE-488-/RS-232-/PC-based or stand-alone operation.

Including 2 slots for plug-in cards, the 2700 is a unique multipoint measurement and control solution that combines in one 1/2-rack unit the functionality and high channel count of a datalogger with the accuracy, convenience and traceability of a true 6 1/2-digit (22-bit) DMM at the price of PC plug-in boards!

When used with the compatible plug-in modules, the Model 2700 provides the industry's lowest per-channel installed cost in a ready-to-run, high-performance data acquisition, measurement, and control package. The Model 2700 can provide up to 80 different channels of multiplexed measurement and control to offer significantly more channels in less space than competing solutions.

A New Approach to Testing

Common applications for the Model 2700 include temperature characterization and data logging, precision measurement and control tasks, and mixed signal data acquisition. The flexibility inherent in the Model 2700's main-frame-and-modules architecture makes it suitable for applications ranging from product development and component testing to process monitoring and production testing:

• The Model 2700 can funtion as an integrated, PC-based, mini-ATE system that's more compact, less expensive, and easier to install than custom-assembled rack systems. Rugged 50-pin D-sub input connectors ensure solid signal connections and allow faster and simpler installation in test racks.
• The Model 2700 provides higher accuracy, stability, and resolution than most dataloggers and recorders at roughly one-half the price of those solutions.
• When compared with PC-based plug-in card data acqusition systems, the Model 2700 provides traceable accuracy at a price about the same as comparably sized systems. Its also eliminates the need to open the PC, configure external signal conditioning, scale engineering units, and adjust gain settings.
